Create a Logo for Free
How would you create a logo for free? Logos come in many forms such as circles, squares, rectangles, triangles, single and multiple lines. They can have initials, a name, a word or words… or a combination of any of the above.
If you seriously cannot afford a graphic designer to create a logo for your company, try using your word processor to create a logo for free. You can type the company name in a very large font and then add borders and boxes.

In the
first examples,
I use
Cheap Sign,
a free font download from http://www.fontspace.com/gaut-fonts/cheap-sign. In your word processor, under insert, click on shapes and add a box. Once drawn, the shape will be highlighted. Click the button to send to back. Add color to the box and move it behind the text. Add a contrasting color to the font.

If the name of your company is a common item, use a picture of that item or just a portion of the picture.
Say you own Apple Movers… the following is an example of a logo you could use on the left edge of your business card.
Make the picture opaque. This allows you to add some text over it if needed. Click below to follow an example of how to create a logo for free using an opaque image.
Then add a small version of the same apple in the right lower quadrant of the business card similar to this example. The whole apple could be used on letter head or brochures. This would look similar to the Wigs & Moore business card.

A favorite business card idea using an
opaque logo
as above, you will see the use of half pictures or an opaque item in the logo. You will see how the same item can be used twice.
I found a blog recently that has some cool logos we see everyday with the Arthur’s comments. I was really taken back by what I have seen for years but never really say. Click here to see several
unique logos.
